How much does it cost to enter the tournament?
The Application fee is $2,500 per boat up until December 14, 2007. Any Application made from December 15th on are $2,750.
Do I have to pay extra to add additional anglers?
No. This is a boat tournament and we do not charge additional fees for additional anglers. Boats may not carry more than six registered anglers during the day of fishing.
Can the captain or the mate also be an angler?
Yes. The captain does not need to fill out the angler portion of the application form. Completion of the captain's, mates, section of the form will qualify him or her as an angler.
Where - How can I register for the tournament?
By mail: Checks may be mailed with your application form up and MUST BE POSTMARKED by Monday December 10, 2007.
By Fax : Fax your completed application form 772-466-8066 along with your complete credit card info. (e-mail us your boat picture)
Kickoff Party: Your last chance to register is the night of the kickoff party with Cash, Cashiers Check or Money Order only!
Can I pay with a check at the kickoff party?
Yes. Acceptable payment methods at the kickoff party are Cash, Cashier's check, Money Order and Credit Cards!
Will there be any Calcutta's?
Yes! The optional Calcutta's are $3,000 for the dailies. $1,000 per boat, per day, paid to one place per day.
There will also be $4,500 for a 50/30/20. Good Luck!!!
This is how a Second place finisher can bring home more money than the Tournament winner, like in 2007.
Can I pay for the Calcutta's I want to be in at the Kick Off Party?
Yes. Acceptable payment methods at the Kick Off Party are Cash, Cashier's check, Money Order and Credit Cards!
Are Professionals allowed to be anglers? Owners? Captains?
Yes. All anglers regardless of professional status are welcome to apply.
What are the eligible species of fish?
Billfish - Any Billfish species is 100 points. Size and weight are not relevant.
What if there is a tie?
There can be no ties - the winner has the most catches and calls in their latest catch first. This is verified by the Observer on board.
How many lines can we fish?
All boats are permitted to fish up to one line - rig - per person on the boat and application form.
Is live chumming allowed in the tournament?
No. Live Chumming is not permitted. This is a Dead Bait Catch and Release tournament
How are catches / releases verified?
Each boat must supply an Observer that will observe on another boat. Catches are radioed in to the "Committee" and the observers record the official times.
What are the boundaries in the tournament?
North-43700 (off Melbourne in 150ft)
South-43000 (Jupiter inlet in 150ft)
East-no boundaries
Automatic team DQ if a fish is called in and recorded out of bounds.
Is there an official announcement of "lines in" to start the day?
Yes. Lines in will be announced by radio and verified by the observers at 8 AM. (9AM for the Pink Ladies)
Is there an official announcement of "lines out" of the water?
Yes. The announcement will be made by radio by the "committee" at 3:30PM. (3PM for Pink Ladies)
What are the Pink Ladies?
The Pink Ladies Tournament is a benefit where for $1,000 teams of women only anglers have a Derby where the proceeds benefit the Treasure Coast Pink Ties Organization, Women Fighting Breast Cancer.
How do I know what other boats have caught?

Can we tag the billfish we catch and release?
Yes, but don't forget about the prize money your fishing for!
Are there accommodations for the "Out of Town" anglers / Captains / Sponsors?
For Sponsors at certain levels there are accommodations that will be provided (please visit our sponsorship page), for all others please consult your preferred travel agent.
What is there to do during the evening hours?
Entertainment and dinner will be provided every night, except Friday, which is a downtown Ft. Pierce street fair called "Friday Fest". Friday Fest is less than a 5 minute walk from the marina and tent.
